Nela Park opened in 1911 as the first industrial park in the United States. Since that time it has been a campus of General Electric. The first holiday light display at Nela was shown in 1925.

The General Electric Nela Park campus has been a holiday lights fixture in the greater Cleveland area for over 80 years. Visitors bring generations of families to see the lights and build memories.

Each year since 1922 employees at Nela Park have designed and produced the decorations for the National Christmas Tree.
