This roundhouse and turntable are part of the Swanton Pacific Ranch railroad, which is maintained and operated by Cal Poly University (San Luis Obispo). They have three live-steam locomotives. The public is welcome to walk around the tracks and equipment, but there are not scheduled train runs available for public rides.
