From New York to Paris.
Racers Arrived in Canastota
Feb. 14th Staying Overnight.
The U.S. Team Won the Race.
This race had many New York connections.
The racers covered 22,000 miles in 169 days. The race was won by George Schuster, Sr. (of Buffalo, New York) driving a Thomas Flyer (built in Buffalo). The original car driven by Mr. Schuster has been restored and is now on display at the National Auto Museum in Reno, Nevada.
