This library was opened in 1857. A new wing added in 1968 tripled its size. Since it is part of the Peninsula Library System, patrons can search the catalogs of any of 34 public and college libraries in San Mateo County, and can borrow and return materials at any local branch. They offer children's storytime every weekday, and various evening events for families and adults.
