The Turkey Run IHM sits across from the entrance to Turkey Run State Park on SR 47 in Parke County, Indiana.
The full text reads:
Little Ned Garland, son of the first family to settle in Indiana north of the 10 O'clock Line, is said to have named the stream below the cliff because wild turkeys roosted in trees within the chasm.
The marker was erected by the Parke County Historical Society in 1968.
