Hollister is a small western farm town, so it's a little surprising to find that it has a Japanese restaurant. This one had to make some concessions to the sushi beginners in town. They serve a roll made with cooked hamburger with lettuce and cucumber. However, Hollister is less than an hour away from the docks of Monterey Bay, and high quality fresh seafood is available here. The sushi chef makes an array of sashimi and traditional rolls.
Lunch special is a bento box including teriyaki and salad with a selection of sushi. Full orders of teriyaki and tempura are also available at dinner.
