In Memory of Those Who Served Their Country In Its Time Of Need and Especially To Those Who Made the Supreme Sacrifice In The Cause of Freedom.

Who Put it Here?: American Legion Post # 609 and the Community of Westfield.
Description of Memorial:
On the edge of the city park, where a single marble stone in front of a white wall is visible from the street. When you climb the stairs and view the other side you see an extensive list of names on black marble, being held by a brick wall. A granite dedication stone at the base.
It was a bitter cold day. I was looking for the Westfield ISHS markers. The state has the location wrong, but I eventually for when the once great college once stood. I found the bell display, and the gym, once used by the local high school once the college burnt down. Now used by the local police department.
