Lynchburg GPS 103, VA, is a City of Lynchburg survey disk monumented by GeometricsGPS, Inc., on 04/04/2001 and located in the southeast angle of the intersection of Lakeside Drive (US Highway 221) and Wyndale Avenue in the (independent) City of Lynchburg, VA. It is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = AJ4474 (visit link) . The disk is 67.7 feet east of the centerline of Wyndale Avenue, 45.2 feet south of the centerline of Lakeside Drive, 28.6 feet southwest of wood utility pole numbered 1982A, 16.8 feet south-southwest of a metal traffic light pole, and recessed in the sod about one inch. The disk is stamped GPS 103 2001. To reach from the intersection of US Highway 501 and Lakeside drive on the western outskirts of Lynchburg, go east on Lakeside drive for about 0.87 miles to Wyndale Avenue on the right and the disk in the southeast angle of the intersection. Note: Wyndale Avenue intersects Lakeside Drive at two places, and the station is at the more easterly of the intersections.
