Central Square in Cambridge is a merging of many roads that come together at odd angles. Two roads, River Street and Western Avenue, come close together before finally merging. The island between them has been made into a memorial by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The pedestrian cross walk goes right by the part where there is engraving on the side and a replica of their seal.
