I stopped by here on a quiet Thursday morning a couple of weeks ago to visit the ball park and HoF. Created in 1958, the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year.

The Hall of Fame is dedicated to the history and players of the Cincinnati Reds that have been outstanding in their careers with the club. When you walk along the sidewalk you look in the window and see posters with pictures of past players and memorabilia from their era including ball caps, bats and gloves.

The front entrance is adjacent to Crosley Plaza and opens onto the plaza entrance. There are several banners and a walkway of engraved bricks there.

Inside the MoH there are many exhibits that give the history of the club and players dating back to it's formation in 1869 as the first professional baseball team.

They also have a nice souvenir shop where fans can buy memorabilia, posters, books and other items related to the team history. Some of the players profiled in the hall are Frank Robinson, Joe Nuxhall, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Ted Kluszewski.

Fans will love the detailed history of the club from it's beginnings to the present day. On game days the place is usually packed with people browsing thru the exhibits before the game. I would recommend visiting on non game days as it is much easier to get a parking spot and you can go thru the MoH without getting elbowed all the time.
