36. The W. W. Owens House (private), NW. corner Abercorn and E. McDonough Sts., is one of the older houses showing French influence brought to Savannah in the mid-nineteenth century by French Royalists fleeing the Santo Domingo massacres. Decorative features of the old brick house are the iron balconies and the ironwork set in the lower portion of the window frames.
---Georgia, a Guide to its Towns and Countryside, 1940

Today the house looks much as it did in 1940. The iron balconies and ironwork in the lower portions of the window frames are still there. As far as I can tell it is a private residence today.
