I didn't notice that I was near railroad tracks until I saw and recognized the depot building. It has that classic American railroad depot architecture, which has recently been enhanced with a new roof provided by the city of Watsonville in their preservation efforts.
This was on the Southern Pacific rail line which stopped passenger service many decades ago. The building is currently being used as storage / office space by Graniterock (one of Fortune magazine's 100 best companies to work for in America).
