The church here on this site at Abbey road in the town of Barrow in furness was originally a small iron Weslyan Methodist chaple which opened in 1876,the present building replaced the chaple and was built in1902.
In 1991 the church was joined by the congregation from nearby Emanuel congregational United reformed church and was renamed The Trinity church centre operating in partnership with both denominations.
