Small granite memorial dedicated to the seven Charlotte County Virginians who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. This memorial sits on the north side of Main Street just west of Dunlap Street. There is a flagpole to one side of this memorial and a Veterans memorials is on the other.

IN MEMORY AND HONOR OF GORDON P. YOUNG FROM DRAKE'S BRANCH, ARMY FIRST CALVARY DIVISION, KILLED IN ACTION IA DRANG VALLEY REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM ON 17 NOVEMBER 1965, AND THE BELOW LISTED MEN FROM CHARLOTTE COUNTY WHO PAID THE SUPREME SACRIFICE. MAY THEIR NAMES BE FOREVER REMEMBERED. MAY GOD BLESS THEIR SOULS "LEST WE FORGET"

Accounting for over 60% of Charlotte County's losses during the entire war, 1968 was a very bad year for Charlotte County, as it was for the country. 1968 was the deadliest year of the war with 16,589 KIAs, some 5,000 more than in any other year of the war.
