This line is in the markers text, first paragraph:
"Lee and Gordon's Mill was built by James Gordon shortly after he came to this region from Gwinnett County in 1836. He rebuilt the grist mill in 1857, adding a saw mill and the first general store in this section."
Currently the mill is open to the public for tours and houses many displays along with the general store. Four or five times a year the mill is operated to make cornmeal and grits. The mill also has facilities for banquets and weddings. There is also an antique tractor museum on the grounds.
