This property sold by the George V. Weise family, on the condition a filling station was to be built. Constructed in 1922, this Shell gasoline station was Greenville Service Co's. expansion into the retail service market. Designed to serve traffic on the National Trail, the front canopy was partially enclosed with ornate brick and stucco columns styled in the popular Art Deco Theme of that period.
