This Memorial is in Memory of those submariners that were lost at sea in defense of this country, as well as those lost while continuing to protect our freedoms.
Fleet Admiral C. W. Nimitz, U.S.N. said, "We shall never forget that it was our submarines that held the lines against the enemy while our fleets replaced losses and repaired wounds."
