Long Description:
In 1926-27, this housing area was constructed by the Architectural firm Carey & Walker, Gleichman, M.M., in the area's prominent Mediterrean Revival and Spanish Mission styles for low- to middle-income families.
Features of these residences include flat roofs with parapets and wood sash windows set in arched surrounds, along with small porches or stoops.
While seemingly ordinary at first glance, a visitor will begin to notice the nuance of these homes and delight in their cozy Old Florida charm. Each structure reveals the individuality of the families that dwell within them now, while maintaining a connection to the past.
