Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park
Chinguacousy means "Land of the Tall Pines." There you will find a curling rink, volleyball courts, tennis courts, sports fields, a picnic shelter and paddleboats, as well as a popular greenhouse, chapel and botanical garden. Children are thrilled to see the animals at the barn with its petting zoo and pony rides. There’s also mini golf, a skateboard park, and children’s splash pool.
With the arrival of the first big snowfall, Chinguacousy Park suddenly goes “downhill”when both young and the young-at-heart take off to Mount Chinguacousy to experience the simple joys of skiing, snowboarding, snowblading, tubing and tobogganing. The new“Magic Carpet” safely and slowly takes you, skis or tube and all, up the hill for your fun ride down. Didn’t bring your skis with you? Don’t worry, rentals are available at the ski chalet located at the bottom of the hill.
Chinguacousy Park is also home to many events.
Running through the park is the Chinguacousy Trail.
