This monument honors the members of the community who fought and contributed during the Global War 1941-1945. It is located in front of the courthouse and, ironically, just down the street from the World Peace Bell.

This is a pillar monument located on the historic courthouse square in Newport. There is a cannon in the square and a nice little church next to it. Newport is just across from Cincinnati. While you are here you can visit the Newport Aquarium just around the corner.

Enclosed in this stone are the names of the men and women of this community who served their country during the Global War 1941-1945.
