This monument honors the members of the community who fought and contributed during the Global War 1941-1945. It is located in front of the courthouse and, ironically, just down the street from the World Peace Bell.

This is a pillar monument located on the historic courthouse square in Newport. There is a cannon in the square and a nice little church next to it. Newport is just across from Cincinnati. While you are here you can visit the Newport Aquarium just around the corner.
