CAUTION: A LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRIC FENCE IS LOCATED OVER THE MARK AND ALONG THE ABUTMENT.

The mark can be safely and legaly recovered standing on the bridge within the road right of way. You will need a camera with good zoom to capture a closeup picture of the mark. Please refer to the pictures for more information.


This disk is not listed in the NGS on-line database. I noticed it on the Binghamton East quadrangle and decided to look for it today. The mark is located in the Southeast abutment of a bridge on Brady Hill Road in Conklin, NY. The bridge is located near the intersection of Brady Hill Road and Brinkman Road. The bridge was constructed in 1944 and the mark was set in 1968. The mark is stamped 6 CRH. The elevation was not stamped on the disk, but the topographic map lists it as 1169 feet.
