This McKenzie-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway Interpretive Site is located at Koosah Falls on Ore. Hwy. 126. The site includes parking, restrooms and two interpretive signs. Short trails lead to three viewpoints.
The McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Byway forms a 82 mile loop along U.S. Hwy. 20, Ore. Hwy. 126, and Ore. Hwy. 242. The route was designated as a National Forest Byway on February 8, 1989. It became an Oregon State Scenic Byway on February 19, 1997 and finally a National Scenic Byway on June 9, 1998.
