Long Description:
The County Town of Bedford and the smaller town of Kempston meet at this point on the main trunk road the A6 (Ampthill Road). There has always been a little rivalry between those who live just over the divide in Kempston.
Type of survey mark: A Cast Iron embossed Marker Post

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The Black Marker post is a couple metres from the highway on the east side and near to a pedestrian crossing.
