From the press release: On October 11 and 12, Winterset, Iowa will demonstrate and celebrate life of the late 1800s; times when the county’s six red covered bridges were built. Artisan and craftsman booths circle the stately courthouse square; old-fashioned pastimes like Spelling Bees and story telling await the visitor; a variety of music entertains from several stages; and coach tours of the covered bridges relate the history of the 130-year-old bridges and the community. If you would like more information or to schedule an interview, please call the Madison County Chamber of Commerce at 515.462.1185.
