This 4-4-0 is part of an ongoing restoration program. The train has been in place and on display for a number of years. Since 1999, a permanent structure has been built over the engine and a caboose. A viewing platform to see the cab has been added, and the pilot has been re-built.
The locomotive was built in 1891-vintage for passenger service and last ran in the 1930's, hauling coal for the Mount Washington Cog Railway in New Hampshire. After retirement, the Boston & Maine had the engine cosmetically restored to her original appearance to take part in the 1939 World's Fair.
