A brief history of the library...
The original library opened on July 12, 1960 and was located on Lake Drive. On February 15, 1971, the library moved to a new facility on Johnson Boulevard. After the City of Seminole took over the library, they opened a new 17,000 square foot facility on 113th Street. October 2000, the City of Seminole and St. Petersburg College decided on the new design of their joint library. The current library opened on August 10, 2003.
