The Campbell County Courthouse at Newport is one of two courthouses in the county. The other is located in Alexandria. This historic courthouse is located near the World Peace Bell and has been around since the late 1800's.

This courthouse is still in use today and sits in a beautiful location across the river from Cincinnati, OH. It was the scene of the last two hangings in Campell County. That occured on March 20, 1897 when Scott Jackson and Alonzo Walling were executed for the gruesome murder of 22-year old Pearl Bryan.
