According to the church cornerstone, the Trinity United Methodist Church was erected in 1891. The Reverend J.F. Elliott was the officiate. The only information we could find about this church on the internet (visit link) is the following: "Trinity United Methodist Church: Built by and for the African-American congregation, it included a local doctor, pharmacist and newspaper editor." Reverend Mark G. Garvin is the current pastor.
