Touch the Future, Inc. is a non-profit organization supporting the development and operation of the Concord, NH, McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (MSDC), through fundraising and other promotional activities. MSDC honors two American space heroes from the “Granite State” – Alan B. Shepard, the first American in space, and Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space.
In 1986 Christa McAuliffe stepped from the classroom into history. As part of a radical new approach by NASA, she was to be the first civilian in space. While her mission on the shuttle ended tragically, her mission as a teacher continues
