The giant-sized baseball was relocated from a shopping mall (owned by "Ball") which was being renovated to the Kingsport's baseball complex (now known as Domtar Park). It was given a fresh coat of paint and landscaping as the Eagle project of Christopher Jack.

Although the coordinates are right next to the interstate, there is no direct access to Domtar Park from I-26. Follow signs from Wilcox Drive/TN126 or Netherland Inn Road to Riverport Road to the only park entrance.
