The stone is made from black granite and is low enough to the ground that even 1 year old child can give it a push. Created by Sorvikivi Oy from Savitaipale, East Finland.

The Arboretum is open from 7AM - 7PM everyday (admission fee required). The ball is inside the Children's Garden, which has more limited hours: 9:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., March through October and 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., November through February. The ball can be seen from outside the garden, but you have to go inside the Children's Garden to play with it.
