This is the active parish church for the southern part of San Benito County. Daily masses are held Friday through Tuesday. The church social hall is a center of local community activity. All are welcome to the services as well as to the community functions.
Tres Pinos is about 5 miles from the original settlement in the county, Hollister, and its residents tired of hitching up their horses for the trek to Hollister for Sunday and Holy Day services. In 1892, they built a church in plain country style, with loving attention to detail inside. Immaculate Conception is also known for the idiosyncratic rock grottoes constructed to shelter religious statues on the grounds.
