Junction City Depot 2008

The Oregon Electric Depot in Junction City was built in 1911/12. On October 15, 1912 the first of the trains made its way into the depot at the corner of 5th & Holly Streets before continuing on to the end of the line in Eugene where a grand celebration was held. Passenger Service ended June 30, 1933 and Electric Operations ended July 10, 1945. The location is now a steakhouse.

A detailed history of this line can be read at PdxHistory.com's Oregon Electric Railway page.
