The tall 150 foot chimney here at Ulverston is the last remaining relic of a once proud iron works.
The iron works once occupied the 60 acre sit here,now all that remains of the works is the chimney which is showing signs of erosion and neglect as the bottom few rows of bricks are crumbling and a few are even missing,the chimney here is a lovely landmark,and hopefully it's importance will soon be recognised and some restoration will take place.
The co-ords for the chimney have been taken from the roadside about 50 feet from the chimney.
