Located on the eastern side of Klondyke Rd. Waterway is Bayou Terrebonne. Still in use. What a job it must be to sit all day and wait for boats!

These bayous of south Louisiana are waterways used by commercial fishermen and shrimpers. The bridges are used regularly, more so in the fish or shrimping seasons. The Verticle lifts are used mainly for the shrimp trawlers, with the high net masts. See wiki article
here .They'll moor or dock the boats inland during off season. When season starts they'll then travel out into the Gulf of Mexico. Also some larger pleasure crafts and private fishing boats utilize these waterways and bridges.
Visit Instructions:
1) After you've found a vertical lift bridge, go visit it, get the coordinates, a picture or two of it, and if it is in use or not still as a lift bridge.
Then log it and post your pictures! At least one of the photos must be of you and your GPS there with the bridge in the background. (No old vacation shots or photos off the internet!)
2) Include the coordinates, city/county/state/country and the name of the bridge (if it has one).
3) Include any interesting information about the structure
