The “Sea of Lava” sign is located at the Windy Point Viewpoint which is located on the scenic McKenzie Pass Hwy (Ore Hwy 242). From this viewpoint there is a view of Mt. Washington across the various lava flows of the McKenzie Pass area. Across the top of the sign various points in addition to Mt. Washington are identified.
