Since 1981, Kingsport, Tennessee has been hosting a community unity celebration known as "FunFest" organized by the Chamber of Commerce. Also part of that festival are two balloon launches. This waypoint is for the morning launch (typically 7AM) known as "Breakfast with the Balloons." Over 1,000 people get up to enjoy local vendors providing breakfast items, while up to couple dozen balloon take off from the park and along Fort Henry Drive. I have participated since I had to carry my kids on shoulders or in a pulled wagon. Besides multicolored balloons, there is always one special balloon like Porter Paints, Garfield, or boy pirate/cat in a barrel.

Here is a link to the official Funfest website: http://visitkingsport.com/funfest/ The dates given below are for the celebration in 2009.

The coordinates happen to also be the starting location for the "Why wait until Funfest?" multi geocache (GCHHC5), which is smack right in the middle of the launching area.
