Thomas W. Laundon House was built in 1837. It was the home of Thomas W. Laundon, a very successful businessman/merchant in Elyria. The mansion was designed by an unknown architect in a Tuscan Renaissance Revival. The house after being vacant for a period of time the Lorain County Historical Society took over ownership of the mansion to save it from demolition. The house has since been restored and is used as a single family home.
