This site is the home of the Treaty Site History Center which is also the headquarters for the Nicollet County Historical Society. Next to the Treaty Site History Center is a walking path that leads you through a restored prairie—the Traverse des Sioux Historic Site. A little north and across Hwy. 169 you will find the very spot the actual treaty was signed.
