At 6107 feet elevation, it takes training just to breathe. Built about 10 years ago less than a mile from the US Olympic Training Center, both amateur and professional athletes use it.
The velodrome was built in 1982 in preparation for the 1984 Olympics in LA. The track is a 333.3 meter track, with a 33 degree banking. Riders love this track for its speed. Mostly used by Olympic athletes in training, the Velodrome hosts national bicycling track races. Not as well paid as baseball players, but as many logos on their team shirts as NASCAR drivers.
