Carillon Bells - Gainesville, Florida - Musical Instruments on Waymarking.com

In the Century Tower at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, there are 48 Carillon Bells. The door was locked so we could not get in to see the bells. We did get to hear a recording of them, and it was so pretty. The bells of the Century Tower Carillon were cast in 1978 by Koninklijki Eijsbouts of Asten, The Netherlands and were first rung from this tower on May 14, 1979. The Carillon is a gift to the campus from students both past and present.
