This business now sells insulation and ceiling tile. The Hut is not your typical looking hut. It is not round on top. It comes to a peak of sorts and has a rectangular section the length of the building across the top. Because it is hot most of the time in Yuma, the high roof and window sections could be used for ventilation. This design also allowed for more storage, as it can be accessed from the rear of the building by climbing a ladder and walking the rat walk the length of the building. Because of the railroad tracks behind the building, it's original use may have been a produce packing house.
