Smithbrook Trail is a way to access the Pacific Crest Trail from Forest Road 6700. This trail is more of a means to an end than a destination, as it consists mostly of heavily wooded switchbacks climbing steeply over a short distance to reach the elevation of the Pacific Crest Trail. There are presently no caches on this trail, but there are some nearby on the Pacific Crest Trail and off FR 6700. The trail is heavily used by hikers and equestrians. A US Forest Pass is required to park here.
