The Tourist Information Center on Eastbound Interstate 80 has this Blue Star Marker at its entrance.
It was installed in October of 1997 by the Garden Clubs of Illinois District 1 and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
If the exit sign indicates the Tourist Information Center is closed, that also means this marker is inaccessible since the entire area is gated closed.
This Blue Star Marker reads:
A tribute to the Armed Forces that have defended the United States of America.
