The Gower penisular had many working lime kilns in the 19th century. The lime produced from the local limestone was shipped across the Bristol Channel and used on farms in Devon and Somerset.
Car parking is available in Penmaen. To access the lime kilns it is a 15 minute walk down the footpaths to the cliff top.
