This winery was previously called Boone Country and was renamed Sugar Creek by the new owners in 1994. The winery has continued to increase in size and has added many amenities. It is part of the "Missouri Weinstrasse", a section of state highway 94 containing vineyards in the Augusta, MO appelation, designated in 1980 as the very first American Viticultural Area (AVA).
