This byway is an interesting experience. The surrounding plants change ever so slightly as you leave the desert behind, until you reach a height of about 7000 feet - where in the winter, you'll need a coat & may find snow on the ground.
This byway consists of 3 Nevada Highways:
NV 156 (Lee Canyon RD)
NV 167 (Kyle Canyou RD)
NV 158 (Deer Creek RD)
This is a great morning or afternoon drive from Las Vegas!
