Sorrounded by a low wall and walkway, a stepway leads up to the statue (perhaps 15 feet tall) of the bronze likeness of a Wooly Mammoth. One leg is raised to allow folks to crawl underneath and pose with this now extinct mighty beast, but it appeared that most people we saw were content to merely stand near one of its massive legs.
Location description: Parking area of Mammoth Lakes Ski Area.
Statue's Subject: Wooly Mammoth
