Visitors to the shoreline of the Marine Sanctuary can birdwatch, explore tidepools, swim, kayak, scuba dive, as well as learn more about the diverse aquatic habitats of the Marine Sanctuary at any one of several city and state parks and museums along the sanctuary boundary. In the city of Monterey, the Packard foundation has cooperated to help provide informational signs along the Coastal Trail.
