This memorial is located in a green space along the "Rue du Général de Gaulle" (eng.: General de Gaulle Street). Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle (November 22, 1890 – November 9, 1970) was a French general, statesman and, amongst others, also the 18th President of the French Republic.
